" They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and
signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. " (
Acts 2:42-47 NIV)

THIS ERA WILL BE SIGNIFICANT in that we will see a deconstruction of much of the world we know, both within and without Church culture. The beliefs and values that typified the past era of Church culture will be replaced by new graces and standards that will disrupt everything, from the way we meet and connect in fellowship to the way we are led. In society also the nations are under a realignment and reordering era. The world of Big Tech is changing the map and the geographical arrangement of National identity is under disruptive shaking.

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken —that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:26-28)

Awe is an interesting word that means deep reverence and fear. Astonishment and wonder also describe those struck with awe. The believers of the foundational church were astonished at what God was doing amongst them to the degree that it radically changed the way they related to each other. Supernatural generosity met the community needs and those that held back literally were struck dead. Now that’s radical! A guy called Joseph led the way and sold up real estate, displaying such generosity they nicknamed him Barnabas, the son of encouragement! He would later build an incredible partnership with the apostle Paul and establish strong missionary teams to travel to unreached regions.

The devotion of these communities of awe invoked special miracles and exponential growth as thousands were saved daily. It was truly an awakening era! Right now I believe we are at the threshold of another mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit. New grace has arrived triggered by sovereign permission to bring the church closer.

Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. (John 1:16)

We are being set apart and called into intimacy and worship. The Fear of the Lord will bring a conviction and a simplicity that will purify all the past indulgences that believers allowed. The Holy Spirit is restoring Holiness and gentleness to the characteristics of believers. Believers that have followed the Lord over decades had certain understanding of spiritual gifts that have been locked up till the end of days.

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end (Daniel 12:9)

They will discover new grace to walk in supernatural gifts at another level. The End of days era began in the early church but now we have entered the end of the end of days era. Joel's prophecy is a timeline that covers the duration of church history culminating in the time we are in now. The third day era has been announced with a trumpet sound and a roar from heaven.

The days of Awe and communities of Awe will be a prophetic witness of the coming of the kingdom and the remnant Bride being prepared for the bridegroom, Jesus.
